Boardwalk

It is estimated that in 1899, a temporary boardwalk was constructed in order to keep the visitor’s shoes free from sand. Today the boardwalk extends over 2 miles with lots of eateries, gift shops, and amusement parks. One complete walk through the board takes around 30 minutes; passengers can start anywhere throughout the board./p>

Tram facilities are also available; which is a trackless train driving throughout the boardwalk. ‘Watch the Tramcar, please!’ is a famous saying there. The most famous three piers called as ‘Morey’s pier’ is a classic shore side amusement park on the boardwalk. It comprises over 100 exciting rides, three amusement piers, and 2 beachfront water parks.

Birthplace of ‘Rock and Roll’

At Memorial Day weekend in 1954, at the HofBrau Hotel; the first Rock and Roll world record attempt by Bill Haley and his Comets. The song was such a hit which made the city to claim as the ‘birthplace of Rock and Roll’.
